I have 40 years of energy arts experience, including a Doctorate in Chinese Energetic Medicine and ordination as a Buddhist Lama and Christian Mystical Priest . My experience also includes Tai Chi, Reiki (Levels 1 and 2 certified), yoga and meditation.
I have been passionate about teaching and applying Qi Gong to improve the wellbeing of my clients -- particularly those who otherwise could not afford access to the practice.
In addition to my online classes, I teach qi gong at 4 homeless shelters in California and Colorado and the Women's Cancer Resource Center in Oakland, CA. I donate 100% of my fees to a homeless shelter, www.thefamilytree.org, in Denver, CO.
I have been fortunate to have been trained directly for over 5 years by the father of Qi Gong in the West, Prof. Jerry Alan Johnson, who has published numerous textbooks on medical Qi Gong based on a lifetime of training with masters around the world. Our direct lineage dates back 1,800 years in the Mao-Shan Daoist Temple in China, bringing sophisticated and secret techniques which are rarely known even in China.
Coming from a traditional legal and corporate background, I have been astounded by the unheralded power of this branch of Qi Gong to affect the physical and energetic body for the better. And I am excited that the US Veterans Administration, US National Institutes of Health, and other leading institutions in the US have begun to recognize formally the benefits of Qi Gong.

Brighton, MI
Brighton is a city in Livingston County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2020 census, the city population was 7,446. Brighton forms part of the South Lyon-Howell-Brighton Urban Area. It is one of two incorporated cities in Livingston County and incorporates land that was part of Brighton, Green Oak, and Genoa townships.
Brighton was established in 1832. It was incorporated as a village in 1867 and as a city in 1928.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has an area of 3.69 square miles (9.56 km2), of which 3.56 square miles (9.22 km2) is land and 0.13 square miles (0.34 km2) is water.
Brighton exhibits what is known as a continental climatebiome. Within the heart of the Great Lakes region, Brighton weather ranges from warm summers with occasional thunderstorms to cold, dry winters with moderate to heavy snowfall.
The city of Brighton's wastewater treatment plant facility is in Hamburg Township and services the city of Brighton and parts of Genoa, Brighton, and Hamburg townships. The city's two water plants also serve the city and parts of Genoa, Brighton, and Hamburg townships. Fire service for the city is provided through a separate governmental entity called the Brighton Area Fire Authority, which also serves the Townships of Brighton and Genoa. Library services for the city are provided through a separate governmental entity called the Brighton District Library, which also serves the townships of Brighton, Genoa, and Green Oak. Brighton has two major shopping malls: Brighton Mall on the north side of town off of I-96 Exit 145 is a former enclosed mall that was rebuilt in 1996 as a power center, and Green Oak Village Place is a lifestyle center complex on the east side of town.
Several initiatives to revitalize downtown, such as streetscape improvements and displayed art, have been well received. A bronze nude entitled Decision Pending, purchased as part of the 2006 Brighton Biennial, generated some controversy and an unsuccessful campaign to relocate the statue.
