I have 40 years of energy arts experience, including a Doctorate in Chinese Energetic Medicine and ordination as a Buddhist Lama and Christian Mystical Priest . My experience also includes Tai Chi, Reiki (Levels 1 and 2 certified), yoga and meditation. I have been passionate about teaching and applying Qi Gong to improve the wellbeing of my clients -- particularly those who otherwise could not afford access to the practice. In addition to my online classes, I teach qi gong at 4 homeless shelters in California and Colorado and the Women's Cancer Resource Center in Oakland, CA. I donate 100% of my fees to a homeless shelter, www.thefamilytree.org, in Denver, CO. I have been fortunate to have been trained directly for over 5 years by the father of Qi Gong in the West, Prof. Jerry Alan Johnson, who has published numerous textbooks on medical Qi Gong based on a lifetime of training with masters around the world. Our direct lineage dates back 1,800 years in the Mao-Shan Daoist Temple in China, bringing sophisticated and secret techniques which are rarely known even in China. Coming from a traditional legal and corporate background, I have been astounded by the unheralded power of this branch of Qi Gong to affect the physical and energetic body for the better. Welcome. I'm a retired U.S. Army officer and former newspaper editor who embarked on my journey into Tai Chi while still in active service. Although my initial interest was piqued during my military days, my pursuit of Tai Chi was temporarily sidelined by time constraints and professional responsibilities, only to be reignited once I retired. With more than 2,000 hours of teaching experience, I hold the esteemed title of Certified Level 3 instructor accredited by the ATCQA. Furthermore, I am currently undergoing training as a Holden Qigong Teacher-In-Training and have the privilege of serving as a Master Trainer under the guidance of Grand Master Dennis Kelly at Defy Aging, Inc. As a veteran, my commitment to Tai Chi and Qigong deepened in 2020 when I initiated my certification process with the American Tai Chi and Qigong Association (ATCQA). Huber Heights, OH

 

Huber Heights is a city in Montgomery and Miami Counties in the U.S. state of Ohio. It is a suburb of Dayton. The population was 43,439 at the 2020 census. This was a 14% increase since the 2010 census, making it the largest growth in Montgomery County in the last decade.

Most of Huber Heights is in Montgomery County, while the city has more recently annexed land in Miami County. One small parcel of the city was located in Greene County, but it was detached from the city in 2013. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 22.37 square miles (57.94 km2), of which about 61 acres (25 ha) are covered by water.

Huber Heights' origins trace back to the now-defunct Wayne Township, which was settled in the early to mid-1800s. Wayne Township was incorporated as the City of Huber Heights on January 23, 1981. The city is named for Charles Huber, the developer who constructed a number of the houses that later constituted the city. Suburban development began in the area in 1956. Huber Heights continued to grow by annexing parcels in Miami County.

Huber Heights is served by the public Huber Heights City School District, which includes five elementary schools, two middle schools, and Wayne High School. Huber Heights has a public library, a branch of the Dayton Metro Library.

Huber Heights' location near the intersection of I-70 and I-75 has long made it an attractive hub for the trucking industry. With two exits on I-70, many popular chain restaurants exist near the exits. Also, various strip malls are in Huber Heights. Marian Shopping Center, located near the intersection of Brandt Pike and Fishburg Road, is slated for redevelopment, which the city purchased for $2.8 million.
