I have 40 years of energy arts experience, including a Doctorate in Chinese Energetic Medicine and ordination as a Buddhist Lama and Christian Mystical Priest . My experience also includes Tai Chi, Reiki (Levels 1 and 2 certified), yoga and meditation. I have been passionate about teaching and applying Qi Gong to improve the wellbeing of my clients -- particularly those who otherwise could not afford access to the practice. In addition to my online classes, I teach qi gong at 4 homeless shelters in California and Colorado and the Women's Cancer Resource Center in Oakland, CA. I donate 100% of my fees to a homeless shelter, www.thefamilytree.org, in Denver, CO. I have been fortunate to have been trained directly for over 5 years by the father of Qi Gong in the West, Prof. Jerry Alan Johnson, who has published numerous textbooks on medical Qi Gong based on a lifetime of training with masters around the world. Our direct lineage dates back 1,800 years in the Mao-Shan Daoist Temple in China, bringing sophisticated and secret techniques which are rarely known even in China. Coming from a traditional legal and corporate background, I have been astounded by the unheralded power of this branch of Qi Gong to affect the physical and energetic body for the better. Glendale Heights, IL

 

Glendale Heights is a village in DuPage County, Illinois, United States. Per the 2020 census, the population was 33,176. The village is almost entirely residential and is a far west suburb of Chicago.

Glendale Heights is located at 41°55′13″N 88°4′44″W (41.920228, −88.078918).

According to the 2021 census gazetteer files, Glendale Heights has a total area of 5.53 square miles (14.32 km2), of which 5.39 square miles (13.96 km2) (or 97.45%) is land and 0.14 square miles (0.36 km2) (or 2.55%) is water

Glendale Heights was a small farming area served by the Glen Ellyn post office up until the 1950s, with a population of just 104 in 1959. Midland Enterprises run by Charles and Harold Reskin started building houses in Glendale Heights in 1958. The Reskins bought two farms on Glen Ellyn Road north of North Avenue. Houses were first built on Glen Ellyn Road and Larry Lane near Fullerton Avenue. On June 16, 1959, a petition was filed and on July 13, the village became incorporated. The first election was held later that summer on August 2.

The town was originally named Glendale as it was between Glen Ellyn and Bloomingdale, but after a conflict arose with the small town of Glendale in Southern Illinois, the city decided in March 1960 to add the term Heights, about its different topographies, a difference of about 100 feet because of its location straddling the Valparaiso Moraine, thus becoming Glendale Heights.
