Kingman is in central Mohave County, along Interstate 40 and U.S. Route 93. The racial make-up of the city was 88.0% White, <0.1% Black or African American, 1.0% Native American, 0.1% Asian, 0.1% Pacific Islander, 3.4% from other races, and 3.1% from two or more races.
