During the years I climbed the corporate ladder, I was a student, wife, divorced mother, friend and a advocate for my son that was born with a rare craniofacial syndrome. To say I am a work in progress at balancing life and my self-care is an understatement. Like many career women, I lived with stress consuming my health for years without knowing. Being a part of someone’s wellness journey is my passion and a sacred and humbling responsibility that I do not take lightly. It is truly an honor. Manheim Township is a township in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, United States. It was established in 1729. The township's southernmost border meets the city limits of Lancaster and includes the communities of Neffsville, Dillerville, and Landis Valley. Its population, as of the 2020 census, was 43,977 making it the second-largest municipality in the county after Lancaster City.

Residents of Manheim Township elect a five-member Board of Commissioners. Commissioners are elected to serve a four-year term. The township also elects a tax collector and magisterial district judge who serve a four-year and six-year term respectively.

Historically, Manheim Township was seen as a Republican stronghold but in recent years the suburban township has become more competitive resulting in numerous high-investment races. Manheim Township is split between both Pennsylvania House of Representatives District 96 represented by Democrat Mike Sturla and Pennsylvania House of Representatives District 97 represented by Republican Steven Mentzer, The township is located entirely within Pennsylvania Senate District 36 represented by Republican Ryan Aument.

The township is represented in the U.S. House of Representatives by Republican Lloyd Smucker.

Manheim Township was first established as an agricultural area and has retained this stature even today. In the early years of farming, much of the land was cleared of timber, and various crops of wheat, barley, and corn were planted. The soil became poor until only buckwheat could be harvested in abundance. When certain fields began to lose their crop yields, they were deserted and new tracts were cleared and planted. However, improvements in farming practices and later the use of fertilizers helped to replenish the farming areas.
