I am Alaura Pittman, an aromatherapist, and student of herbs. I believe plants are our greatest allies, and that tackling our emotional well-being can aid in our body's health and dis-ease. My passion is helping others discover their unique path to self-healing.
I began studying the healing power of plants in an attempt to to live a more sustainable life and connect to deeper, ancestral healing. I want to show everyone how accessible plant medicine can be. You don’t have to be a yogi or a calm, centered, blissful person 24/7 to enjoy the benefits of aromatherapy and herbs.
I thought I was following a healthy diet when I had my first gout attack, and the only resources I had were local libraries and writing to the World Health Organization for all known alternative remedies. I went through 20 years of acute attacks in several joints, spending weeks in bed taking far too much aspirin. The medical community had no solution for me other than offering drugs. During this time, I sought out many different healing methods and eventually met someone who suggested I discontinue eating grains.Three months later, all my symptoms disappeared and I have not had a single flare up or attack now 20 years later. In the process of healing, decades of research, experimenting with food and exercise has been invaluable. If I had known how easy it could have been, many years of suffering would have been avoided.I can help you pinpoint exactly which foods are interfering with your health goals. By making a few simple changes, you'll be amazed at how much better you feel. It's so much easier when you have the right support.https://alxscher.com

I've worked with teens as a teacher in middle school, in high school, a high school librarian, and now as a life coach. The reason for my commitment to teens is simple - I really like them, and teens need fans. My passion for coaching comes from knowing that teens have too many people giving them advice and telling them what to do, and what they really need is someone to listen fully and without judgment while they find their way to the solutions and changes they can make to pursue their passions and goals. I am honored to be that person for the teens and young adults I coach.
I earned an MEd. in. Secondary English Education and am a Certified Life Coach for Young People through Youth Coaching Institute (YCI). I also write a monthly column on the School Library Journal's Teen Librarian Toolbox blog called RevolTeens about teens who make a difference in the world.
At home, I have raised three of my own teens, now 23, 19, and 17. I know that they have always needed an outside unbiased voice from teachers, therapists, or other trusted adults in addition to their parents' guidance to feel successful and grounded. One of the reasons that coaching works for teens is that they get to talk to someone who is not their mom. An outside, caring, and compassionate adult who works with them where they are now - with no history or baggage. It is a great honor and privilege to be that adult in a teen's life.
If your teen needs an outside voice to listen, connect, and guide them through solving problems, let's talk. I offer free consultations with parents (or young adults 18-24) to discuss what brings you to coaching and how coaching can help. You can find me at www.christinelively.com

"I suffered from debilitating migraines for most of my life. Physicians told me migraines were heredity and because of my family history should expect this to be part of my life. At that time and for many years I accepted this as truth. Because of this acceptance, I was often sidelined from enjoying my life for days at a time as yet another migraine would inflict its pain. Thankfully, the world of meditation, journaling, crystals, tapping, and eating differently was introduced to me and I was able to break the cycle of migraines without medication!"
Reach out today for your free consultation and we will discuss the many ways Reiki can guide you in your life. Such as, lessening chronic migraine, overcome fatigue, manage stress, improve sleep and manage neck and back pain, and so much more.
I look forward to connecting with you.

Lansdale is the center of the North Penn Valley, a region that includes the surrounding townships and boroughs. It is located 27 miles (43 km) southeast of Allentown and 21 miles (34 km) north of Philadelphia.
The earliest known settlers in Lansdale were members of the Jenkins family. At the peak of its growth, the Jenkins homestead occupied approximately 120 acres of land. The construction of the North Pennsylvania Railroad (later absorbed into the Reading Railroad) during the 1850s contributed to rapid growth and expansion in Lansdale. Employment opportunities generated by the railroad brought settlers, housing, and local businesses to the area.
By 1872, Lansdale Borough was officially incorporated and named after Phillip Lansdale Fox, chief surveyor of the North Penn Railroad. By the naming conventions of the time, it should have been called Jenkintown, since the land immediately surrounding the train station was owned by the Jenkins family, but there was already a town by that name along the rail line.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 3.1 square miles (8.0 km2), all land. It has a hot-summer humid continental climate (Dfa) and the hardiness zone is 7a. The average monthly temperature ranges from 30.2 °F in January to 74.7 °F in July. The average annual absolute minimum temperature is -0.4 °F.
