Certified Nutrition Specialist, National Board Certified Health Coach
In 2016 I was diagnosed with autoimmune arthritis. After years of pain, it was good to finally have an answer to what was happening in my body. I was introduced to the Auto Immune Protocol by a friend and I immediately started eliminating problematic foods from my diet. In a week, there was a marked difference. By month 6, I was back to my active self I’d been in high school. My pain levels have been reduced by 85%; I am glad to share what I’ve learned in this journey with you.
Health and Wellness Coach | Functional Nutrition Expert | Certified Change Specialist | Owner, Bloom Health and Wellness LLC
Hi! I am truly excited for the opportunity to meet with you, get to know you and build a trust-filled relationship in a space where you can feel heard and supported. Optimal health and wellness is defined by you! I believe you can achieve balance through many pathways - it is your journey.
Health coaches are behavior change experts that help you create sustainable changes in the way you think, your daily habits and your lifestyle choices. As you can imagine, your journey is unique!
My commitment to you is to support you, listen and help you identify achievable goals that you can integrate into your lifestyle. I can also help you develop problem solving skills and learn how to navigate our unhealthy world.
I genuinely believe that it is important to help clients identify the cause/s that are contributing to you feeling as though you are not well, and focus on those root causes not simply label them.
My professional and personal experiences are vast, although all rooted in healthcare. I am certain they all prepared me to work with you. My career path began as an Echocardiographer. I jumped at the chance to lead highly effective teams in the education, change management, human resources and corporate spaces. During the years I climbed the corporate ladder, I was a student, wife, divorced mother, friend and a advocate for my son that was born with a rare craniofacial syndrome. To say I am a work in progress at balancing life and my self-care is an understatement. Like many career women, I lived with stress consuming my health for years without knowing.
Being a part of someone’s wellness journey is my passion and a sacred and humbling responsibility that I do not take lightly. It is truly an honor. I believe we all deserve a life of vitality and energy and we have the potential to create it for ourselves. Sometimes we need a little help from a coach.
If you experience any issues booking a session or have questions, my email is wellnesscoaching.heather@gmail.com. I don't love social media, however, happy to connect with you on IG at https://www.instagram.com/bloom.healthcoach/

Welcome to my page.
For over 20 years I’ve served thousands as a Coaching Professional focusing on life issues, emotional energy management, and real estate sales performance. My mission has been to help my clients achieve their personal and professional goals. During the span of those 20 years, I became aware of the changes taking place in my body, but like most people in their 50’s, 60’s and 70’s I chalked it up to the inevitable issues of the aging process. I was suffering from hypertension, borderline high cholesterol, gout, and random pain throughout my body that I later learned was due to inflammation. For every issue, I was given another prescription. Through education and a conscious and determined change in nutrition, exercise, and mindset I am elated to report that as of my 77th birthday I have been able to significantly adjust and even eliminate several of my prescriptions and never felt more energized.
Recently, I’ve added a critical addition to my coaching practice, that of a certified health and wellness coach. The essence of my work is to educate and facilitate self-growth and wellness by helping my clients identify the core challenges and setbacks in their life so that they can overcome them with confidence.
Today I partner with the Luminary Wellness Group offering DNA and Epigenetic Body scans and report interpretation for clients seeking to explore the roots of various health issues.
My clients are inspired individuals endeavoring to attain healthy thriving lives and well-being, free of preventable disease, disability, injury, and premature death, those whose goal is to promote healthy development, healthy behaviors, and well-being across life stages.

It was incorporated in 1922 and is nicknamed "The City by the Sea" (the Latin form, Civitas ad mare, is the city's motto). The Long Beach Barrier Island is surrounded by Reynolds Channel to the north, east, and west, and the Atlantic Ocean to the south. In 2022, Long Beach was named the best East Coast town for a summer getaway by Time Out magazine.
The city of Long Beach's first inhabitants were the Algonquian-speaking Lenape, who sold the area to English colonists in 1643. From that time, while the barrier island was used by baymen and farmers for fishing and harvesting salt hay, no one lived there year-round for more than two centuries. The bark Mexico, carrying Irish immigrants to New York, ran ashore on New Year's Day.
Austin Corbin, a builder from Brooklyn, was the first to attempt to develop the island as a resort. He formed a partnership with the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) to finance the New York and Long Beach Railroad Co., which laid track from Lynbrook to Long Beach in 1880. That same year, Corbin opened Long Beach Hotel, a row of 27 cottages along a 1,100-foot (340 m) strip of beach, which he claimed was the world's largest hotel. In its first season, the railroad brought 300,000 visitors to Long Island. By the next spring, tracks had been laid the length of the island, but they were removed in 1894 after repeated washouts from winter storms.
On October 29, 2012, Hurricane Sandy struck Long Beach. As a result of the flooding, hundreds of vehicles were destroyed and houses suffered various levels of damage. The estimated cost of all the damage was over $250 million. The city was without power and running water for two weeks after the storm. The boardwalk was also destroyed during the storm. The city began rebuilding the boardwalk with grants from FEMA and the State of New York. The first two-block section of the new Long Beach boardwalk reopened on July 26, 2013, and the entire boardwalk opened on October 25, 2013. The final costs of rebuilding the boardwalk were $44 million, of which ca. $39 million were FEMA grants and the final $4.4 million was reimbursed by the state.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 3.90 square miles (10.1 km2). Of its total area, 2.22 square miles (5.7 km2) is land, and the rest is water.
Long Beach places a strong emphasis on health and wellness, with multiple options for outdoor activities and healthcare services. The Theodore Roosevelt Nature Center at Jones Beach State Park provides educational exhibits and programs about the local marine and wildlife, making it a great destination for families and nature enthusiasts. Health services are provided by the Mount Sinai Doctors - Long Island, ensuring that the community's medical needs are well-catered to. Elemental Wellness provides a serene retreat with massages, facials, and holistic therapies. Orangetheory Fitness offers high-intensity interval training sessions designed to improve cardiovascular health and strength. The Yoga Nook hosts yoga and meditation classes focusing on flexibility, strength, and mindfulness. East Park Chiropractic specializes in spinal health, pain relief, and overall wellness through comprehensive chiropractic care.
