In 2016 I was diagnosed with autoimmune arthritis. After years of pain, it was good to finally have an answer to what was happening in my body. I was introduced to the Auto Immune Protocol by a friend and I immediately started eliminating problematic foods from my diet. In a week, there was a marked difference. By month 6, I was back to my active self I’d been in high school. My pain levels have been reduced by 85%; I am glad to share what I’ve learned in this journey with you.

Hi! I am truly excited for the opportunity to meet with you, get to know you and build a trust-filled relationship in a space where you can feel heard and supported. Optimal health and wellness is defined by you! I believe you can achieve balance through many pathways - it is your journey.
Health coaches are behavior change experts that help you create sustainable changes in the way you think, your daily habits and your lifestyle choices. As you can imagine, your journey is unique!
My commitment to you is to support you, listen and help you identify achievable goals that you can integrate into your lifestyle. I can also help you develop problem solving skills and learn how to navigate our unhealthy world.
I genuinely believe that it is important to help clients identify the cause/s that are contributing to you feeling as though you are not well, and focus on those root causes not simply label them.
My professional and personal experiences are vast, although all rooted in healthcare. I am certain they all prepared me to work with you. My career path began as an Echocardiographer. I jumped at the chance to lead highly effective teams in the education, change management, human resources and corporate spaces. During the years I climbed the corporate ladder, I was a student, wife, divorced mother, friend and a advocate for my son that was born with a rare craniofacial syndrome. To say I am a work in progress at balancing life and my self-care is an understatement. Like many career women, I lived with stress consuming my health for years without knowing.
Being a part of someone’s wellness journey is my passion and a sacred and humbling responsibility that I do not take lightly. It is truly an honor. I believe we all deserve a life of vitality and energy and we have the potential to create it for ourselves. Sometimes we need a little help from a coach.
If you experience any issues booking a session or have questions, my email is wellnesscoaching.heather@gmail.com. I don't love social media, however, happy to connect with you on IG at https://www.instagram.com/bloom.healthcoach/

I have studied health from IIN is a health coaching school and now I am learning about gut health and how it helps our bodies do lot of things. Why its so important that we clean our gut out and get it back to a healthier state.
I work with women who want to lose weight through detoxing, balancing hormones, improving GI systems – all by and switching to whole-foods, proper supplementation, and daily habit changes.
I will be working DIRECTLY with YOU, one-to-one, in our sessions, emphasizing that everything you’re experiencing is synergistically connected in an individual package that is entirely UNIQUELY YOU. This concept is often referred to as your ‘biochemical individuality,’ and the word ‘HOLISTIC’ (holism) emerged from this concept. You’re not just your weight, your thyroid problem, or your digestive complications as insinuated by conventional medicine. No, your WHOLE body is symbiotically connected – what happens in one area of your body WILL ultimately affect everything else. Thus, through the practice of Nutritional Therapy, I will encourage you to revisit the WHOLE, beautifully painted picture that is YOU. Namely, I’m going to empower YOU with the tools needed to understand and become ‘in tune’ to your own body using clean, whole foods, healthy exercise, and a balanced lifestyle so that you too can RISE and THRIVE, daily.

According to the 2010 census, Lindenhurst has a total area of 4.774 square miles (12.36 km2), of which 4.44 square miles (11.50 km2) (or 93%) is land and 0.334 square miles (0.87 km2) (or 7%) is water. Lindenhurst's first stop light was erected at Grand Avenue and Sand Lake Road in the 1980s. Although part of the Lake Villa Township, many people know Lindenhurst as "A town bordering Antioch".
The Village of Lindenhurst lies within the Valparaiso moraine from the most recent Ice Age. The area is rich in lakes and swamp land; it was inhabited by the Potawatomi Indian tribe, who mixed agriculture with hunting and fishing. The rich soil ultimately attracted European farmers. An expedition led by Colbee Benton in the 1830s was followed by treaties by which the Potawatomi, the Sauk, and the Blackhawk Tribes agreed to leave the area. Most Euro-American settlers came from the East Coast, the first recorded being the Pennsylvanian Noer Potter. There were also several early Scottish, German, and English arrivals.
Incorporation papers for Lindenhurst were filed in November 1956 with Lake County Judge Minard Hulse. The first village officials were elected in a December 1956 election, with 90% voter turnout. The village was incorporated on January 16, 1957.
The first village president was Lee R. Lewis, and meetings were held on Saturdays to accommodate the commuting members of the board and community. The first meeting was held in the home of trustee Helen Skelton. Another election – mandated by law – was held in April 1957, and Robert Randall was elected the new president. The board held fundraisers like dances to purchase such things as stationery and record books. After his first year in office, President Randall reflected on the successes: ordinances and zoning laws had been passed, roads were being graded, snow removed, and police were patrolling the village. Running water from a tower near Fairfield Road and Hawthorne Drive arrived in the late 1950s.
Health and wellness are priorities in Lindenhurst, with the Advocate Condell Medical Center serving as a cornerstone for comprehensive healthcare services.
