Hi,
Hi, I'm Karine Zbinden, PhD.
I am a Certified Life and Career Coach.
I can help you:
- find the clarity you need to define your goals
- overcome self-doubt and build up your confidence
- evaluate what skills you have and what skills you need to develop
- make a step-by-step plan to achieve your goals
- keep yourself accountable each step of the way
My area of specialism is helping women over 40 find a new purpose and restart their career after raising their children.
In order to raise your family, you may have put your career on hold or on the back burner.
Now that your children are becoming independent, you find yourself wanting to restart your career, but you feel left behind, lost and unsure where to start. I can help you assess your options and choose a path aligned with your values.
Working with you, I will help you build up your self-confidence, overcome Imposter Syndrome, assess your skills and where you may need to gain new ones, and most importantly create a step-by-step plan that you will put into action. I will hold you accountable and accompany you along the way.
Or you may be in a job that you used to like but which is no longer fulfilling. Maybe you have changed, or maybe your sector of activity has changed beyond recognition and it does not align with your values. So you feel out of step, demotivated and with no improvement in sight.
You may want to change careers but you don’t know where to start.
You feel stuck… overwhelmed…
But it doesn’t have to be this way! You can transform your life!
Working together, you can examine various career options rationally, calmly and choose the best one for your values so that you find fulfilment in your career. We will build a plan to guide you every step of the way so you are not left on your own. So Sunday nights will no longer be filled with dread. You will once again experience growth, have the energy to take on new challenges and feel the deep sense of satisfaction that comes with a fulfilling career where you are making the right impact!
Or you may really struggle with empty nest syndrome and want to find your zest for life again after children. It is a difficult time but you can transition successfully towards a happier life!
I can help you learn to put yourself first, process the grief, overcome the loneliness and enjoy life without guilt.
You will reinvent your relationship with your grown-up children, one where you are not always the giver and they are the taker but where you all find new ways of nurturing each other and enjoying interaction.
Midlife after raising children does not have to be a sad, lonely experience. You can create a life full of purpose where you can finally do what matters to you and enjoy the best life has to offer!
Don't put things off, start your new life NOW!

Located on the southeast Georgia coast, midway between Savannah and Jacksonville, St. Simons Island is both a seaside resort and residential community. It is the largest of Georgia's renowned Golden Isles (along with Sea Island, Jekyll Island, and privately owned Little St. Simons Island). Visitors are drawn to the Island for its warm climate, beaches, variety of outdoor activities, shops and restaurants, historical sites, and natural environment.
In addition to its base of permanent residents, the island enjoys an influx of visitors and part-time residents throughout the year. The 2010 census noted that 26.8% of total housing units were for "seasonal, recreational, or occasional use". The vast majority of commercial and residential development is located on the southern half of the island. Much of the northern half remains marsh or woodland. A large tract of land in the northeast has been converted into a nature preserve containing trails, historical ruins, and an undisturbed maritime forest. The tract, Cannon's Point Preserve, is open to the public on specified days and hours. Originally inhabited by the Muscogee, the Spanish, British, and French contested the area of South Georgia which included St. Simons Island. After establishing the Province of Georgia in 1732, Anglo-American colonists established rice and cottonplantations worked by African slaves, who created the unique Gullah culture that survives to this day. The primary mode of travel to the island is by automobile via F.J. Torras Causeway. Malcolm McKinnon Airport (IATA: SSI) serves general aviation on the island.
St. Simons Island is part of a cluster of barrier islands and marshhammocks between the Altamaha Riverdelta to the north, and St. Simons Sound to the south. Sea Island forms the eastern edge of this cluster, with Little St. Simons on the north and the marshes of Glynn plus the Intracoastal Waterway to the west.
St. Simons is located at 31°9′40″N 81°23′13″W (31.161250, -81.386875), midway between Savannah, Georgia, and Jacksonville, Florida, and approximately 12 miles (19 km) east of Brunswick, Georgia, the sole municipality in Glynn County and the county government seat.
St. Simons places a significant emphasis on health and wellness, providing residents and visitors with a range of opportunities to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
