Tanya Ambrose graduated from Georgia State University, obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Public Health. Tanya is a compassionate and dynamic public health professional working in the maternal, child, and reproductive health sectors. Tanya works to bridge the gaps in existing health and social service programs with the aim of reducing maternal and infant mortality and other health disparities. Tanya also works to educate individuals about the importance of breastfeeding and reproductive life planning by providing education and other resources.
She is a Birth and Postpartum Doula, Placenta Encapsulation Specialist, and Certified Lactation Counselor working with expectant mothers before, during, and after birth by providing education and resources so their families can have their expected birth outcome and support during postpartum.
Tanya is also the host of the Tea with Tanya podcast, where she has candid conversations about promoting positive living, health, and wellness and shares public health stories. In alignment with her core value of giving back to her community, she founded Scrub Life Cares, a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving women and girls in underserved communities by promoting menstrual health education and menstrual equity and bridging the gap to access menstrual products.
Tanya is currently a first-year graduate student at the University of South Carolina in the Health Services Policy Management department, and she is completing her MCH certificate from the MCH Catalyst program.
