Dominique Dorsett

I help women live with grief, not get over it.

I am Dominique Dorsett, but most people call me Professor Dom. I am a grief and confidence coach, a psychology professor, and a published poet. Through Girl, Come Sit With Me, I hold grief circles, lead confidence workshops, and coach women one on one through loss, divorce, and big life transitions.

My work is shaped by my own story. I know what it is like to grieve while still having to show up, for your kids, your classroom, your life. That lived experience is what I bring into every room, along with warmth, honesty, and zero judgment.

Warm, honest, and practical. Sessions blend conversation, goal setting, and my signature mirror work exercise to help clients see themselves clearly and take the next step forward. Coaching is not therapy and does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. I am not a licensed therapist.
