I've worked with teens as a teacher in middle school, in high school, a high school librarian, and now as a life coach. The reason for my commitment to teens is simple - I really like them, and teens need fans. My passion for coaching comes from knowing that teens have too many people giving them advice and telling them what to do, and what they really need is someone to listen fully and without judgment while they find their way to the solutions and changes they can make to pursue their passions and goals. Secondary English Education and am a Certified Life Coach for Young People through Youth Coaching Institute (YCI). I also write a monthly column on the School Library Journal's Teen Librarian Toolbox blog called RevolTeens about teens who make a difference in the world. At home, I have raised three of my own teens, now 23, 19, and 17. I know that they have always needed an outside unbiased voice from teachers, therapists, or other trusted adults in addition to their parents' guidance to feel successful and grounded. One of the reasons that coaching works for teens is that they get to talk to someone who is not their mom. An outside, caring, and compassionate adult who works with them where they are now - with no history or baggage. It is a great honor and privilege to be that adult in a teen's life. Wooster, OH

Wooster is the county seat of Wayne County, Ohio, United States. Located in northeastern Ohio, the city lies approximately 50 mi (80 km) south-southwest of Cleveland, 35 mi (56 km) southwest of Akron and 30 mi (48 km) west of Canton. The population was 27,232 at the 2020 census. It is the largest in Wayne County, and the center of the Wooster micropolitan area. Wooster has the main branch and administrative offices of the Wayne County Public Library, and is home to the private College of Wooster. fDi magazine ranked Wooster among North America's top 10 micro cities for business friendliness and strategy in 2013.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 16.36 square miles (42.37 km²), of which, 16.31 square miles (42.24 km²) is land and 0.05 square miles (0.13 km2) is water. It lies along Killbuck Creek, a tributary of the Walhonding River. The local bedrock consists of the Cuyahoga Formation (shale) and the overlying Logan Formation (sandstone and conglomerate), both Lower Carboniferous and rich in fossils.

Wooster was established in 1808 by John Bever, William Henry, and Joseph Larwill and named after David Wooster, a general in the American Revolutionary War.
