I am Alaura Pittman, an aromatherapist, and student of herbs. I believe plants are our greatest allies, and that tackling our emotional well-being can aid in our body's health and dis-ease. My passion is helping others discover their unique path to self-healing.
I began studying the healing power of plants in an attempt to to live a more sustainable life and connect to deeper, ancestral healing. I want to show everyone how accessible plant medicine can be. You don’t have to be a yogi or a calm, centered, blissful person 24/7 to enjoy the benefits of aromatherapy and herbs.
I thought I was following a healthy diet when I had my first gout attack, and the only resources I had were local libraries and writing to the World Health Organization for all known alternative remedies. I went through 20 years of acute attacks in several joints, spending weeks in bed taking far too much aspirin. The medical community had no solution for me other than offering drugs. During this time, I sought out many different healing methods and eventually met someone who suggested I discontinue eating grains.Three months later, all my symptoms disappeared and I have not had a single flare up or attack now 20 years later. In the process of healing, decades of research, experimenting with food and exercise has been invaluable. If I had known how easy it could have been, many years of suffering would have been avoided.I can help you pinpoint exactly which foods are interfering with your health goals. By making a few simple changes, you'll be amazed at how much better you feel. It's so much easier when you have the right support.https://alxscher.com

Meet Your Coach Hello, my name is Benita Whitaker Cleveland. I am a retired high school counselor and Career & Technology Education (CTE) teacher. I have over 20 years of experience working with teens and pre-teens at my local church and in public education. I am passionate about the work …
I've worked with teens as a teacher in middle school, in high school, a high school librarian, and now as a life coach. The reason for my commitment to teens is simple - I really like them, and teens need fans. My passion for coaching comes from knowing that teens have too many people giving them advice and telling them what to do, and what they really need is someone to listen fully and without judgment while they find their way to the solutions and changes they can make to pursue their passions and goals. I am honored to be that person for the teens and young adults I coach.
I earned an MEd. in. Secondary English Education and am a Certified Life Coach for Young People through Youth Coaching Institute (YCI). I also write a monthly column on the School Library Journal's Teen Librarian Toolbox blog called RevolTeens about teens who make a difference in the world.
At home, I have raised three of my own teens, now 23, 19, and 17. I know that they have always needed an outside unbiased voice from teachers, therapists, or other trusted adults in addition to their parents' guidance to feel successful and grounded. One of the reasons that coaching works for teens is that they get to talk to someone who is not their mom. An outside, caring, and compassionate adult who works with them where they are now - with no history or baggage. It is a great honor and privilege to be that adult in a teen's life.
If your teen needs an outside voice to listen, connect, and guide them through solving problems, let's talk. I offer free consultations with parents (or young adults 18-24) to discuss what brings you to coaching and how coaching can help. You can find me at www.christinelively.com

"I suffered from debilitating migraines for most of my life. Physicians told me migraines were heredity and because of my family history should expect this to be part of my life. At that time and for many years I accepted this as truth. Because of this acceptance, I was often sidelined from enjoying my life for days at a time as yet another migraine would inflict its pain. Thankfully, the world of meditation, journaling, crystals, tapping, and eating differently was introduced to me and I was able to break the cycle of migraines without medication!"
Reach out today for your free consultation and we will discuss the many ways Reiki can guide you in your life. Such as, lessening chronic migraine, overcome fatigue, manage stress, improve sleep and manage neck and back pain, and so much more.
I look forward to connecting with you.
Namaste,

Hi! I am truly excited for the opportunity to meet with you, get to know you and build a trust-filled relationship in a space where you can feel heard and supported. Optimal health and wellness is defined by you! I believe you can achieve balance through many pathways - it is your journey.
Health coaches are behavior change experts that help you create sustainable changes in the way you think, your daily habits and your lifestyle choices. As you can imagine, your journey is unique!
My commitment to you is to support you, listen and help you identify achievable goals that you can integrate into your lifestyle. I can also help you develop problem solving skills and learn how to navigate our unhealthy world.
I genuinely believe that it is important to help clients identify the cause/s that are contributing to you feeling as though you are not well, and focus on those root causes not simply label them.
My professional and personal experiences are vast, although all rooted in healthcare. I am certain they all prepared me to work with you. My career path began as an Echocardiographer. I jumped at the chance to lead highly effective teams in the education, change management, human resources and corporate spaces. During the years I climbed the corporate ladder, I was a student, wife, divorced mother, friend and a advocate for my son that was born with a rare craniofacial syndrome. To say I am a work in progress at balancing life and my self-care is an understatement. Like many career women, I lived with stress consuming my health for years without knowing.
Being a part of someone’s wellness journey is my passion and a sacred and humbling responsibility that I do not take lightly. It is truly an honor. I believe we all deserve a life of vitality and energy and we have the potential to create it for ourselves. Sometimes we need a little help from a coach.

The city is known for its architecture, commerce, culture, institutions of higher education, and rich history. It is the economic and cultural core of the Capital District of the State of New York, which comprises the Albany–Schenectady–TroyMetropolitan Statistical Area, including the nearby cities and suburbs of Troy, Schenectady, and Saratoga Springs. With an estimated population of 1.1 million in 2013, the Capital District is the third most populous metropolitan region in the state. As of 2022, Albany's population was 100,826.
The Hudson River area was originally inhabited by Algonquian-speaking Mohican (Mahican), who called it Pempotowwuthut-Muhhcanneuw. The area was settled by Dutch colonists who, in 1614, built Fort Nassau for fur trading and in 1624, built Fort Orange. In 1664, the English took over the Dutch settlements, renaming the city Albany in honor of the Duke of York's Scottish title, the Duke of Albany, which takes its name from Alba, the Scottish Gaelic name for Scotland. The Duke of Albany would later become James II of England and Ireland and James VII of Scotland. The city was officially chartered in 1686 under English rule. It became the capital of New York in 1797 after the formation of the United States. Albany is the oldest surviving settlement of the original British thirteen colonies north of Virginia. No other city in the United States has been continuously chartered as long.
In the late 18th century and throughout most of the 19th, Albany was a center of trade and transportation. The city lies toward the north end of the navigable Hudson River. It was the original eastern terminus of the Erie Canal, connecting to the Great Lakes, and was home to some of the earliest railroads in the world. In the 1920s a powerful political machine controlled by the Democratic Party arose in Albany. In the latter part of the 20th century, Albany's population shrank because of urban sprawl and suburbanization. In the 1990s, the New York State Legislature approved for the city a US$234 million building and renovation plan, which spurred redevelopment of downtown. In the early 21st century, Albany's high-technology industry grew, with great strides in nanotechnology.
Albany is about 150 miles (240 km) north of New York City on the Hudson River. It has a total area of 21.8 square miles (56 km2), of which 21.4 square miles (55 km2) is land and 0.4 square miles (1.0 km2) (1.8%) is water. The city is bordered on the north by the town of Colonie (along with the village of Menands), on the west by the town of Guilderland, and on the south by the town of Bethlehem. The former Foxes Creek, Beaver Kill, and Rutten Kill were diverted underground in the 19th century. There are four lakes within city limits: Buckingham Lake; Rensselaer Lake at the mouth of the Patroon Creek; Tivoli Lake, which was formed as a reservoir and once connected to the Patroon Creek; and Washington Park Lake, which was formed by damming the Beaver Kill.
The highest natural point in Albany is a USGS benchmark near the Loudonville Reservoir off Birch Hill Road, at 378 feet (115 m) above sea level. The lowest point is at the Hudson River—which is still technically an estuary at Albany and is affected by the Atlantic tide—at an average of 2 feet (0.61 m) above sea level at low tide and 4 feet (1.2 m) at high tide. The interior of Albany consists of rolling hills which were once part of the Albany Pine Bush, an area of pitch pine and scrub oak, and arid, sandy soil that is a remnant of the ancient Lake Albany. Due to development, the Pine Bush has shrunk from an original 25,000 to 6,000 acres (10,100 to 2,400 ha) today. A preserve was set up by the State Legislature in 1988 and is on the city's western edge, spilling into Guilderland and Colonie; it is the only sizable inland pine barrensdune ecosystem in the United States, and is home to many endangered species, including the Karner Blue butterfly.
