I began my trek into natural health circa 2002 when I developed my first skincare formulas, eventually launching a product line and growing deeper roots in holistic, anti-aging medicine and the healing arts as a whole. As I discovered more of myself, I unlocked long-forgotten gifts and today works as an intuitive energy healer, which shapes my work as a functional medicine practitioner and clinical herbalist. I am passionate about embodying a standard of excellence for my health and pass that empowerment and knowledge along to others, while helping them correct energetic, hormone, and chronic imbalances.

If your story is anything like mine, you are on a journey to heal your body. A life free from constant chronic pain and fatigue is what so many are longing for. Maybe you’ve been to countless practitioners and received multiple diagnoses, but you still feel completely hopeless. You are not alone. I was there, too. This is my story, and I was able to heal myself.I was diagnosed with extreme adrenal fatigue, achlorhydria, Epstein–Barr virus, Leaky Gut, ovarian cysts, PCOS, Lymes disease, PTSD…oh, and I had a few parasites. All of this happened before my twenty-fourth birthday. Along with this diagnosis, I had severe depression, anxiety, constant bloating, eczema, weight gain, acne, and hormonal imbalances. It became so debilitating that steamed vegetables were the only thing my body was positively responding too. Burdened by the thousands of dollars I was spending on health care, I finally took matters into my own hands and began the journey to heal my body. And that I did.Over the course of my journey, I was able to heal. Yes, find complete freedom and excitement again in life. I now deeply feel that it is my calling to support and help other women heal. I felt completely alone in my journey, and I needed a coach and a support system to help guide me though it. That is now what I offer to you as a coach. I come alongside my clients that are hopeless, lost and frustrated that every other protocol, detox, and supplement didn’t work. I find joy in sharing my knowledge and experience with others, and my mission is for you to finally find freedom too!
Hi there! My name is Michelle Tonkin. I am a Naturopathic Doctor, Certified Nutritional Consultant, Master Herbalist, Master Iridologist and Master Reflexologist. I am a graduate of Trinity College of Natural Health and Acusage Academy. My journey to pursue these degrees started in 2001, as I desired to have answers to my own physical problems. In 1999 I began to experience many health problems such as Candidiasis, Chronic Fatigue, Epstein Barr, Fibromyalgia, Environmental Illness, Lyme Disease, Bacterial, Fungal, and Parasitical Infections. I was a total physical mess! I saw at least 30 different physicians, experienced numerous different medications and treatments, and my condition continued to deteriorate. Although kind and well meaning, the doctors had very few answers or hope for me. By God's grace, perseverance, prayer, and the faithfulness of my family and friends, the answers/solutions starting coming. My heart is to help others achieve and maintain abundant health!Blessings, Hope, Peace, Prosperity & Health be Yours ~ Michelle Tonkin ND
I hold a PhD in Philosophy, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, and yoga certification. I have traveled the world studying healing practices and shamanism. I have induced full chakra Kundalini awakenings and dried wet sheets in freezing temperatures with my bare body—I know of no one else who has done either without an outside teacher. I now gift the world a healing protocol and welcome guests for private retreats to heal with me at Eagle Vortex Healing Sanctuary.

Grosse Ile, MI
Grosse Ile Township is a civil township in Wayne County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 10,777 at the 2020 census. The township encompasses several islands in the Detroit River, of which the largest is named Grosse Ile. Named by French explorers in 1679, Grosse Île means "Big Island". Later after being taken under British rule in 1763, the island was not settled by European Americans until after the United States achieved independence in the American Revolutionary War. Grosse Ile Township was organized in 1914 after it split away from Monguagon Township.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 18.67 square miles (48.36 km2), of which 9.20 square miles (23.83 km2) is land and 9.47 square miles (24.53 km2) (50.72%) is water.
Grosse Ile is the largest island on the Detroit River. The township of Grosse Ile is composed of twelve islands, although the community is most often identified with the main island (which residents simply refer to as "The Island"). Grosse Ile's main island is technically composed of two islands. Grosse Ile Township is one of only seven municipalities in the state of Michigan to consist entirely of islands, including St. James Township, Drummond Township, Bois Blanc Township (in northern Michigan, not to be confused with the nearby Bois Blanc Island, which is in Canada), Mackinac Island, Peaine Township, and Sugar Island Township.
The tip of the main island's northern section is named Hennepin Point in honor of the 17th-century French explorer Father Louis Hennepin. It is uninhabited and separated from the remainder of the northern section by an unnamed canal that cannot be navigated in a power boat.
The southern section of the main island is separated from the northern section by the Thorofare Canal, which runs on a diagonal course from east to west connecting the main channel of the Detroit River with the Trenton Channel of the river. The southern section of the main island is connected by bridges to Elba Island, Meso Island (also known as Upper Hickory Island), Hickory Island, and Swan Island, which are all inhabited.
Not far from the shoreline of the main island in the river lie Calf Island, Celeron Island (charted as Tawas Island), Dynamite (also known as Powder House Island), Fox Island, Stony Island, and Sugar Island, which are all uninhabited. Stony and Celeron are owned by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. Calf Island is owned by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service as a part of the Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge. The other islands are privately owned. The low-lying Mamajuda Island is off the northeastern tip of Grosse Ile and is visible only during times of low water level.
Two bridges connect the main island to the mainland of Michigan. The bridge on the north end of the island is called the Grosse Ile Toll Bridge (off-white color). The bridge on the south end of the island is officially named the Wayne County Bridge (light green) but is commonly called the "Free Bridge" by locals.
