According to the United States Census Bureau, the Tamiami CDP has a total area of 7.4 sq mi (19 km2), of which 0.4 sq mi (1.0 km2), or 5.16%, is water.
As of the 2020 United States census, there were 54,212 people, 17,016 households, and 13,558 families residing in the CDP.
