Highland is a city in San Bernardino County, California, United States. The city's population was 53,104 as of the 2010 census, up from 44,605 in 2000. Highland is located at 34°7′6″N 117°12′9″W (34.118459, -117.202370). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 18.9 square miles (48.9 km2). 18.8 square miles (48.6 km2) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.3 km2) of it (0.71%) is water.

The average household size was 3.42. There were 12,542 families (81.1% of households); the average family size was 3.74.
