As of the 2020 census, there were 8,072 people, 2,550 housing units, and 2,428 families in the CDP. The population density was 899.5 inhabitants per square mile. The racial makeup of the CDP was 5.0% White (223 people), 1.2% African American (28), 91.8% Native American (7,488), 0.0% Asian (118), 0.2% Pacific Islander (6), and 0.7% from two or more races (176). Those of Hispanic or Latino origin made up 5.6% (147).
The median age was 34.5 years old. 10.9% of the population were 65 or older, with 7.2% between the ages of 65 to 74, 3.2% between the ages of 75 to 84, and 0.6% were 85 or older. 1.5% of the population were foreign-born. 26.7% of the population were under 18, and 6.6% were under 5.
