Service Description
My Reiki sessions are a little different because I do not follow the exact same process with every client.
I prefer to see clients either virtually by video or in person because, for me, that creates a designated space where you can fully relax, receive, and focus on yourself without trying to fit the session in around everything else going on.
Most clients prefer to lie down because it allows them to relax more deeply, but sitting comfortably with back support is completely fine too. The biggest thing is having a quiet space with little to no distractions.
During the session, I may intertwine guided relaxation, hypnosis, or a light trance-like state to help you settle in and become more receptive to the energy work.
From there, I channel Reiki intuitively and follow what I am picking up on in the moment through my intuition, my guides, your guides, and what seems to need the most attention during the session.
Every session is different because every person is different.
Some clients may come in feeling emotionally heavy, disconnected, overwhelmed, stuck, or simply knowing that something feels off. Others may just need time to slow down, reset, and receive.
You do not need to know exactly what needs to be worked on before the session. We start with where you are and allow the session to unfold from there.
My goal is always to provide the best support I can based on what you are working through and where you are in your own journey.
FAQs
Q: What is Reiki?
A: Reiki is a form of energy healing that originated in Japan in the early 1900s and is most commonly associated with Mikao Usui. It is based on the practice of channeling energy to support relaxation, balance, and overall well-being.Every practitioner works a little differently, and my sessions are very intuitive and personalized based on what seems to need attention in that moment.
Q: How does a virtual Reiki session work?
A: Virtual sessions are done by video call. Before we begin, I recommend finding a quiet space where you can relax without a lot of distractions. Most clients prefer to lie down, but sitting comfortably with good back support is completely fine too.Once you are settled, I will guide you into a relaxed state and begin the energy work. Distance does not change the way I approach the session, and I still work intuitively with what comes up along the way.
Q: Do I have to lie down?
A: No. Lying down is usually preferred because it can make it easier to fully relax, but it is completely up to you and what feels most comfortable. Sitting in a supportive chair works just as well.
Q: What happens during the session?
A: We usually start with a few minutes of conversation about how you are feeling and anything you would like support with. From there, I may use guided relaxation, hypnosis, or a light trance-like state to help you settle in before moving into Reiki. I then follow what I am picking up intuitively through the session rather than using the exact same process every time.
Q: Will I feel anything during Reiki?
A: Maybe, but you do not have to.Some people feel warmth, tingling, heaviness, lightness, emotion, imagery, or deep relaxation. Some people fall asleep. Others may not notice much physically during the session at all.Everyone experiences energy work differently, so there is no right or wrong way to experience Reiki.
Q: Do I need to believe in Reiki for it to work?
A: No. You do not need to have any particular spiritual belief or previous experience with energy work. You can simply come in curious, open, and willing to relax.
Q: Why do you sometimes use hypnosis or trance during Reiki?
A: I find that helping the body and mind relax can make it easier for clients to receive the session without feeling like they need to analyze everything happening. It is not something that has to be used in every session. I may incorporate it when it feels supportive for the client and what we are working through.
Q: Is Reiki the same every time?
A: No, and that is intentional.Every client is different, and even the same client may need something different from one session to the next. I work intuitively and follow what seems to need the most attention in that moment rather than forcing the session into a specific structure.
Q: Can Reiki be combined with hypnosis or other energy work?
A: Yes. For some clients, a layered approach may be helpful depending on what they are working through and what they are open to.Sometimes Reiki may be used on its own, and other times it may complement hypnosis or another form of energy work.
Q: How many Reiki sessions will I need? & Is Reiki a replacement for medical or mental health care?
A: There is no set number. Some people book a session when they feel like they need a reset or additional support. Others choose to receive Reiki more regularly as part of their overall wellness routine. We can talk about what you are hoping to work on and what may make the most sense for you.No. Reiki is intended to support relaxation and overall well-being and is not a replacement for medical, psychological, or psychiatric care.
