Reiki for Pets

Animals experience so much alongside us. Changes in their environment, illness, aging, anxiety, grief, transitions, and even what is happening within their family can affect them in different ways.

Reiki for Pets is a gentle distance energy session designed to provide additional energetic support for your animal while allowing them to remain comfortable in their own environment.

This work became especially personal to me when my own pet became sick and needed additional support during palliative care. Energy work became part of how I supported her during that chapter of her life and eventually through her transition from this earthly plane. Experiencing that journey with her is a large part of why offering this work for animals means so much to me.

Your pet does not have to sit still or behave a certain way during their session. They can sleep, walk around, eat, play, or simply do whatever feels natural to them.

Before the session, you will provide a current photo of your pet along with information about anything they are currently experiencing that you would like me to be aware of.

I will then connect with your pet and channel Reiki intuitively, focusing on what I am picking up on and where the energy seems to need the most attention during the session.

You do not need to remain on a video or phone call while I am working with your pet unless we have specifically arranged that beforehand.

Once the session is complete, I will call you for a debrief to share how the session went, what I picked up on, and anything that came through while working with them.

Reiki is complementary care and does not replace veterinary diagnosis or treatment. If your pet is sick, injured, or experiencing changes in their health, veterinary care should always be your first resource.

Before Your Pet's Session

Your pet's name

Please include their name and what type of animal they are.
A recent photograph of your pet, please provide a clear, recent photo where your pet can be easily seen. Ideally, your pet should be the only animal in the photo.

If your pet is experiencing an illness, injury, discomfort, mobility issue, or another physical concern, please let me know where in their body this is occurring.

Is your pet currently receiving veterinary care?
If they are currently sick, injured, receiving palliative care, taking medication, recovering from a procedure, or under the care of a veterinarian, please provide a brief explanation.

Once your pet's session is complete, I will call you for a debrief and share what came through during our time together.
You do not need to remain on the phone or video during your pet's session unless that has been specifically requested or arranged beforehand.

Q: Does my pet need to be on the phone or video with you?
A: No. These sessions are offered remotely, and your pet does not need to be on camera or interact with me directly.I work from the photograph, their life force energy and information you provide before the session. Your pet can continue doing whatever feels natural to them while I work.

Q: Does my pet need to lie down or stay still?
A: Not at all.One of the things I love about working remotely with animals is that they can stay in their own environment and do what they naturally want to do. They may sleep, walk around, eat, play, move from one room to another, or settle somewhere quietly.There is nothing they need to "do" for the session.

Q: Do I have to stay on the phone during the session?
A: No. In most cases, I complete the energetic work separately and call you once the session is finished. If there is a reason you would like to be present during the session, we can discuss that beforehand.

Q: What happens after the session?
A: Once I have finished working with your pet, I will call you for a debrief. This gives me an opportunity to share what I noticed, what came through during the session, areas I was drawn toward, and anything else that may be helpful for you to know as their guardian.

Q: Can you work with a pet who is sick?
A: Yes, energy work may be used as complementary support for animals who are also receiving veterinary care. It is important to understand that Reiki and Shamanic Healing do not replace veterinary medicine. I do not diagnose medical conditions, change medications, or recommend delaying veterinary treatment.

Q: Can these sessions support a senior pet or a pet receiving palliative care?
A: Yes. This is actually an area of this work that is very personal to me because of my own experience supporting my pet during palliative care and eventually through her transition. The intention is not to force an outcome or change the natural course of their journey. It is to provide additional energetic or spiritual support based on where they are at that time.

Q: Can you work with a pet who is nearing the end of their life?
A: Yes. End-of-life and transition support can be part of this work when appropriate. My approach is centered around supporting the animal and honoring their individual journey rather than trying to determine when or how that journey should unfold.** This work is not a replacement for conversations with your veterinarian about quality of life, pain management, hospice, or euthanasia decisions.

Q: What is the difference between Pet Reiki and Pet Shamanic Healing?
A: Reiki is generally the gentler starting point when you are looking for energetic support, relaxation, or simply feel that your pet could use some additional care. Shamanic Healing goes into a different layer of energetic and spiritual work and may be appropriate when there is a transition, deeper energetic pattern, end-of-life journey, or something you feel may need to be explored differently.** If you are unsure which one to choose, you can reach out and we can determine what may make the most sense for your pet.

Q: Can my pet receive more than one session?
A: Absolutely! Some guardians choose a single session, while others may want continued support depending on what their pet is going through. Every animal is different, so I do not automatically recommend a certain number of sessions. We can discuss whether additional sessions may make sense after seeing how your pet responds to the first one.

Q: What if I don't know exactly what is wrong?
A: That is completely okay. You know your pet better than anyone, and sometimes the only thing you know is that they seem different or something feels off. Share what you have noticed, even if you cannot fully explain it. I will work from there.
