2. Receiving Love: Opening Your Heart to the Love of God
Product Description
Short Description
A Christ-centered guided resource for exploring what may make love difficult to receive and learning to open your heart more deeply to the love of God, yourself, and others.
Full Product Description
You can know that God loves you and still struggle to receive that love.
Past wounds, shame, fear, disappointment, rejection, attachment experiences, self-protection, and distorted beliefs about God can all make the heart hesitant to receive what the mind says is true.
Receiving Love is the second step in the HeartFire Healing Journey.
This guided resource creates space to explore the barriers that may have formed around your heart and gently practice receiving love rather than continually striving to earn it.
You will be invited to explore:
what receiving love means
why love can sometimes feel unsafe or uncomfortable
how past relationships can influence the way we experience God and others
beliefs that make receiving grace difficult
the difference between knowing about God's love and experiencing it personally
vulnerability and relational safety
learning to receive without striving
allowing love to reach places that have learned to protect themselves
The invitation is not to manufacture an emotional experience.
It is simply to become more available to the love that God has already extended.
The HeartFire Invitation
You do not have to earn love.
You do not have to perform for love.
You do not have to become perfect enough to receive love.
You are invited to become present enough to receive.
