Initial Intake Therapy Session
Appointment Length
1 hour 15 minutes
Service Description
The initial intake is our first full therapy session. We’ll talk about what brings you in, what you’ve tried so far, your health and life context, and what you hope will change. You’ll have room to ask questions and get a feel for how I work. Together, we’ll begin shaping a plan that fits your needs, whether you’re seeking ongoing integrative counseling, exploring KAP, or both.
I’m a Texas LPC-Associate supervised by LeAnna Coulter, LPC-S. Appointments are virtual and typically last 60–75 minutes.
Service Requirements
Before your appointment, please complete the intake and consent forms sent to you. You must be physically located in Texas during the session and join from a private space with a reliable internet connection.
If you’re interested in KAP, let me know in your forms or during our conversation. The full intake must be completed before booking a KAP preparation session.
FAQs
Q: Do I need to know exactly what I want to work on?
A: No. We can start with what you’re experiencing and figure out your goals together.
Q: Is this appointment required before KAP preparation?
A: Yes. The full intake is the first step before scheduling a KAP preparation session.
Q: Will I receive ketamine during the intake?
A: No. This is a therapy and assessment session. Ketamine dosing is a separate appointment and requires medical approval.
Q: What should I expect us to discuss?
A: We’ll cover your current concerns, relevant history, what has or hasn’t helped, and what you’d like from therapy. You can share at a pace that feels manageable.
Q: What happens after the intake?
A: We’ll discuss your next steps together. That might mean ongoing counseling, KAP preparation if appropriate, or time to consider which approach feels right for you.
