Service Description

Reaching out to a therapist can feel like a big step, especially when you’re used to handling things on your own. This free 15-minute consultation gives us a chance to meet by phone or video before you decide whether you’d like to schedule a therapy session.

You can share a little about what you’re looking for and ask questions about my approach, EMDR, or what beginning therapy might look like. You don’t need to tell me your whole story or know exactly what to say.

We’ll use the time to see whether I may be a good fit for what you need and, if so, talk about next steps.

Service Requirements

Before our consultation, please share:

* Whether you are looking for therapy for yourself or for your teen
* Your age, or your teen’s age
* Confirmation that the potential client will be located in California during therapy sessions
* Whether you prefer to meet by phone or video
* A brief description of what you’re hoping to find support with
* Your general availability for ongoing therapy
* Confirmation that you understand therapy sessions are private pay at $200

You don’t need to share detailed or painful experiences here. A sentence or two about what brings you to therapy is enough for us to begin.

FAQs

Q: Is the consultation a therapy session?
A: No. The consultation is a brief conversation to help us determine whether working together may be a good fit. We won’t use this time for an assessment, diagnosis, or therapy.

Q: Do I have to schedule a therapy session afterward?
A: No. There is no obligation to begin therapy after the consultation. You’re welcome to take time to think about whether working together feels right for you.

Q: Can I schedule a consultation for my teen?
A: Yes. A parent or guardian can schedule a consultation to share what they’re noticing, ask questions, and learn more about my approach to working with teens. We can also discuss who should attend the consultation.
