DeBary is a city in Volusia County, Florida, United States, on the eastern shore of the St. Johns River near Lake Monroe. According to the 2020 U.S. Census, the city had a population of 20,696. It is part of the Deltona–Daytona Beach–Ormond Beach, FL metropolitan statistical area, which was home to 553,284 people in 2019.
DeBary is located at 28°53′03″N 81°18′40″W. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 21.4 square miles (55 km2), of which 18.2 square miles (47 km2) are land and 3.2 square miles (8.3 km2) (15.02%) are covered by water.

Visitors included Presidents Ulysses S. Grant and Grover Cleveland. Over time, he acquired an additional 9,000 acres (36 km2), planting orange groves and pecan trees.
