Sweden is a town in Monroe County, New York, United States. It is part of the Rochester metropolitan area, New York. This town is located on the west border of the county. The town of Sweden was established in 1814 from the Town of Murray in part of Monroe County. The first Sweden town meeting was held on April 5, 1814. Lake View Cemetery was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.
