White Oak is a census-designated place (CDP) in Hamilton County, Ohio, United States. It is seven miles northwest of Cincinnati. The population was 19,541 at the 2020 census. White Oak is situated in both Green Township and Colerain Township. White Oak was originally known as Saint Jacobs in the 19th century.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 6.2 square miles (16.0 km2), all land.
As of the census of 2020, 19,541 people were living in the CDP, for a population density of 3,145.69 people per square mile (1,214.54/km2). There were 8,481 housing units. The racial makeup of the CDP was 72.6% White, 15.4% Black or African American, 0.1% Native American, 5.6% Asian, 0.0% Pacific Islander, 1.3% from some other race, and 5.0% from two or more races. 2.2% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There were 8,020 households, out of which 28.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 42.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 18.0% had a male householder with no spouse present, and 32.5% had a female householder with no spouse present. 31.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 11.8% were someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
