Genoa is a charter township of Livingston County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2020 census, the township population was 20,692. Genoa Township was organized in 1837.
Genoa Township is southeast of the center of Livingston County and is bordered to the northwest by the city of Howell, the county seat, and to the southeast by the city of Brighton. Interstate 96 crosses the township, with access from exits 140 and 141. The highway leads east 48 miles (77 km) to Detroit and west 41 miles (66 km) to Lansing.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 36.1 square miles (93.6 km2), of which 33.8 square miles (87.6 km2) are land and 2.3 square miles (6.0 km2), or 6.40%, is water. The northwest part of the township is part of the Shiawassee River watershed leading north to Saginaw Bay on Lake Huron, while the southeast portion is in the Huron River watershed leading southeast to Lake Erie.

The county seat and most populous city is Howell.
