Olympia Heights is located 11 miles (18 km) west-southwest of downtown Miami at 25°43′35″N 80°20′42″W (25.726379, -80.345073). It is bordered to the north by Westchester, to the northwest by Coral Terrace, to the east by Glenvar Heights, to the south by Sunset, and to the west by Westwood Lakes.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 3.1 square miles (8.0 km2), of which 2.7 square miles (7.0 km2) are land and 0.4 square miles (1.0 km2), or 11.51%, is water.
