In terms of physical exertion, the Tai Chi exercise in these programs is like walking. Even if you have an illness or disability, you can learn Tai Chi. Mobility impaired individuals can learn Tai Chi in a chair. Students are encouraged to work within their "comfort zone" at all times. All students are required to do a gentle warm-up exercise at the beginning of each class and a cool-down exercise at the end.
