How to Prepare for Your Reiki Session
1. Set Your Intention
Before your session, think about what you’d like to receive—whether it’s emotional healing, physical relief, clarity, or stress reduction. Setting an intention helps align your energy for a more focused experience.
2. Hydrate
Drink plenty of water before your session. Staying hydrated supports energy flow and enhances the healing process.
3. Dress Comfortably
Wear loose, comfortable clothing that you can easily relax in. You’ll be lying down during the session, so comfort is key.
4. Eat Lightly
It’s best to have a light meal or snack at least an hour or two before your session. Avoid heavy meals right beforehand to keep your energy clear and light.
5. Arrive Early
Arriving a few minutes early allows you to settle in and transition from the busyness of your day into a calm, centered state.
6. Avoid Stimulants
Refrain from caffeine, nicotine, or energy drinks before your session, as they can interfere with relaxation and energy flow.
7. Be Open to the Experience
Each Reiki session is unique. Whether you experience deep relaxation, emotional release, or a sense of peace, trust that your body and mind will receive exactly what they need.
8. Turn Off Your Devices
To fully immerse in the session, silence or turn off your phone to avoid distractions and create a peaceful, sacred space for your healing.
