Service Description

Join us every Monday for a relaxing online Yin Yoga class that helps your body feel open, calm, and strong from the inside out! In this special kind of yoga, we hold gentle stretches for 4 to 8 minutes. That gives your body time to open up tight spots and strengthen something called fascia—a stretchy layer under your skin that connects your muscles and bones.
Yin Yoga also helps your energy flow better by gently working on meridians—kind of like invisible pathways that connect to your organs and help your body feel its best. Each pose helps bring balance to different parts of you, like your tummy, lungs, heart, and more.
This class is slow and peaceful, with time to rest, breathe, and stretch in a safe and cozy way. You don’t need to be flexible or have done yoga before—just bring a mat, a pillow or blanket, and a quiet space to relax.
Feel better in your body, your mind, and your energy every Friday—drop in anytime!

FAQs

Q: 1. What is Yin Yoga, and how is it different from other styles of yoga?
A: Yin Yoga is a slow, meditative style of yoga where poses are held for several minutes to target the deeper connective tissues—like fascia, ligaments, and joints—rather than muscles. Unlike more active (yang) styles of yoga, Yin emphasizes stillness, mindfulness, and surrender.

Q: 2. Do I need to be flexible to practice Yin Yoga?
A: Not at all. Yin Yoga actually helps improve flexibility over time. The practice meets you exactly where you are—props and modifications are encouraged to make the poses accessible and supportive.

Q: 3. What should I expect during a Yin Yoga class?
A: Expect a quiet, calming environment with fewer poses held for longer durations (typically 2–5 minutes). You’ll use props like bolsters or blankets for support, and the focus will be on breath awareness and inner reflection.

Q: 4. Is Yin Yoga good for stress relief?
A: Yes! Yin Yoga activates the parasympathetic nervous system, which helps reduce stress, calm the mind, and support emotional resilience. It’s often described as “a massage for your nervous system.”

Q: 5. How often should I practice Yin Yoga?
A: Even practicing Yin Yoga once or twice a week can offer profound benefits. It's a great complement to more active workouts and a valuable addition to your overall self-care and wellness routine.

Q: 6. What should I have available to participate in an online Yin Yoga class?
A: For an online Yin class, you’ll want a quiet, comfortable space and a yoga mat. Props such as a bolster or firm pillow, a blanket, yoga blocks, and a strap (or scarf) are very helpful. Wear cozy layers, have water nearby, and consider dimming the lights or lighting a candle to create a calm atmosphere.
