FAQs:

What is a Chakra Healer?

A chakra healer practices chakra healing by using their hands and fingers to guide energy through the different chakra points.

What are Chakras?

Chakras are energy centers in the body that govern various aspects of our lives. There are seven main chakras, which correspond to the major glands in the body. Each chakra is associated with a certain color, emotion, and aspect of life.

The chakras are not organs – they’re rather energy centers. When they are open and the energy is flowing freely, we experience health and vitality both physically and emotionally. However, when they become blocked, we can experience pain and dysfunction in our lives. A single blocked chakra can also imbalance all the chakras. This is where chakra healing can help you.

The concept of chakras is said to have originated in India over 3,000 years ago. The word “chakra” comes from the Sanskrit word meaning “wheel.” In the Vedic tradition, it is believed that the chakras are like spinning wheels of energy that keep the body in balance.

What’s the Difference Between Chakra Healing vs Reiki?

Chakra healing and Reiki are different ways of practicing energy healing. Other popular forms of energy healing include yoga and acupuncture.

‌Reiki and chakra healing differ in the methods used to apply energy healing. Reiki involves free-flowing hand movements. In addition, Reiki practitioners direct the life force within the body where they feel it’s needed, while chakra healers focus on directing energy toward the chakras.

Those who practice chakra cleansing use their hands and fingers to guide energy through the different chakra points:

1. They perform a scan of a person’s aura and body for any imbalances or blockages.

2. Next, they draw white energy from a chakra with one hand and move it into a recipient using the other hand. Chakra healers can use that new energy to heal parts of the body.

3. Finally, they stabilize the recipient’s energy and make sure that any malfunctioning organs and systems are healed.

What Happens After Chakra Healing?

After your chakras have been cleared, you should feel lighter, more balanced, and more centered. You may also notice an improvement in your physical health, as well as a sense of inner peace and well-being.

Chakras healing can relax your mind and body, relieve tension, and make you feel more connected with yourself as well as others. If you had any physical symptoms like headache or back pain before, you’ll also experience relief from the pain. When done regularly, you may feel more in control of your life, make better decisions, feel healthy, and enjoy your life to the fullest!

How Do You Practice Chakra Healing?

Meditation is one of the best chakra healing techniques, as it can help bring all of your chakras back into balance. When you meditate, you’re bringing your attention to the present moment and focusing on your breath. This allows you to let go of any stress or anxiety that might be taking up space in your body. You don’t have to do a specific chakra meditation to bring your chakras back into balance. It’s best to meditate regularly, even if you’re not experiencing any problems with your chakras. Meditating daily can help you feel more present in your life and reduce your anxiety levels as a result.

What Does It Mean To Have a Blocked Chakra?

Each chakra works with large nerve systems throughout the body, contributing to a person’s physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Therefore, it’s important to keep the energy flowing freely between different chakra points.

Chakra blockages typically manifest from coping strategies used to combat stress, trauma, or other difficult circumstances. Blockages impede the natural flow of energy in the body. Energy backs up and starts to stagnate and negatively affecting a person’s overall well-being. As a result, an individual’s chakras get out of alignment, causing physical and emotional distress.

Why Do Chakras Need Healing?

Think of chakras as a map of how people can maintain self-care. Because the body constantly moves between balance and imbalance, it’s easy for chakras to get out of alignment without a person becoming aware. They may feel the effects of what’s happening but not realize the root cause of their problems.

Balancing chakras removes blockages, which results in positive energy flowing to different points once again. Chakra healing typically starts at the root chakra and gradually moves up to the crown chakra. That helps connect and align the energy moving between all of the chakras.

Are Chakras Real?

No scientific evidence supports the existence of chakras in the spiritual sense. However, some scientists have argued that they correspond to physical body parts, particularly in the nervous system. The nervous system consists of a person’s brain and spinal column, which contain nerves. These nerves branch off from the spine in bundles (plexuses) and connect to other areas of the body.

The primary chakras, which are located down the spine, may correspond to the central nervous system. Their connection to specific aspects of health may relate to different nerve plexuses.

For example, a 2017 cadaver study identified that the root chakra might be related to the inferior hypogastric plexus, which sends signals to the reproductive organs and rectum, two of the functions this chakra is meant to influence.

This may explain how the chakra system developed in the way it did, mirroring what scientists now know about the human body.

However, not everyone agrees with this interpretation and experts need to conduct more scientific research.

What Causes Chakras to Become Blocked?

There are many reasons why a chakra can become blocked, but the most common cause is an unhealthy lifestyle. Too much stress, negative thinking, a lack of physical exercise, not enough sleep and an unhealthy diet are all leading contributors to a blocked chakra. And at the same time, too much of something good can also cause an imbalance in the energy body with an equally harmful effect on your health and well-being.

One or all of these factors can cause your chakras to enter into either a hypoactive or hyperactive state. When hypoactive, your chakra distributes an insufficient or reduced amount of prana to the area. A hyperactive or imbalanced chakra means there is too much energy flowing into that particular region, causing an imbalance in the entire chakra system.

Why is it Important to Unblock Your Chakras?

The 7 chakras are strongly tied to the organs and glands that surround them. If just one chakra is hypoactive or hyperactive, it can have a ripple effect on the entire body, negatively impacting your physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. If not tended to, a blocked chakra may also lead to more serious physical illnesses and mental health challenges like depression or anxiety.

Knowing how to unblock chakras is therefore important to maintain good health and keep your energy body in check. When your chakras are clear and aligned, you are your best Self. You will naturally have a more positive outlook on life and feel more energized and confident. On the mat, you’ll also notice a healthy progression in your performance.

The History of Chakras

Chakras has only recently become more well-known, with the growth in popularity of yoga and New Age philosophies in general. They are a complex and ancient energy system that originated in India. They were first mentioned in the Vedas, ancient sacred texts of spiritual knowledge dating from 1500 to 1000 BC. There’s a lot one can study about them.

Chakra (cakra in Sanskrit) means “wheel” and refers to energy points in your body. They are thought to be spinning disks of energy that should stay “open” and aligned, as they correspond to bundles of nerves, major organs, and areas of our energetic body that affect our emotional and physical well-being.

Some say there are 114 different chakras, but there are seven main chakras that run along your spine. These are the chakras that most of us are referring to when we talk about them.

Each of these seven main chakras has a corresponding number, name, color, specific area of the spine from the sacrum to the crown of the head, and health focus.

What is Chakra Meditation?

Chakra meditation is a blanket term for any type of meditation that seeks to clear blocked chakras and harness the power of these energy centers located throughout the body. They can be used for everything from promoting calm and relaxation to encouraging spiritual awakening (note that those meditations devoted to spiritual awakening should be guided by a certified teacher—not a YouTube video). Basically, if your goal is to feel more balanced or relaxed, or even just to have an easier time falling asleep, a self-monitored practice should suffice. If your intentions are a little deeper, your best bet is to learn from the pros.

The types of guided chakra meditations you can do yourself at home are often meant to promote a sense of contentment, peace, and a greater connection to your sense of self. Regardless of the type of chakra meditation you try, the goal is ultimately to ensure that your chakras are wide open, allowing energy to flow freely throughout your body and allow for a strong connection between your mind and body.

Get to Know the 7 Chakras

While there are multiple chakra points throughout the body, let’s focus on the seven main chakras positioned along the spine. Each has a specific name, an associated color, and an associated place in the body.

1. Root Chakra or Muladhara

The Root chakra or Muladhara is located at the base of the spine near where the tailbone sits, which deals with issues related to stability, grounding, and physical identity. It’s tied to the Earth element and helps people feel connected to their environment. Meditations involving the root chakra typically involve images of a person planting their feet into the ground. Its primary color is red and its associated conditions are Arthritis, Bladder issues, Colon problems, Constipation, and Feelings of insecurity.

2. Sacral Chakra or Svadhisthana

The Sacral Chakra or Svadhisthana sits below the belly button just above the pubic bone and deals with issues concerning the way people feel and exhibit pleasure, sexuality, and creativity. It’s believed that the sacral chakra gives people a better understanding of their sensuality and what gives them pleasure. The sacral chakra also reflects people’s feelings of self-worth. Its primary color is orange and the associated conditions are Impotence, Lack of self-confidence, Lower back pain, and Urinary tract infections (UTIs).

3. Solar Plexus Chakra or Manipura

The Solar Plexus Chakra or Manipura is located in the upper abdomen or stomach area and deals with an individual’s confidence and self-esteem. People with a blocked solar plexus chakra often experience issues with their digestive system. Because the solar plexus chakra has a unique connection to the sun, going outside and soaking up some rays aids its healing.

Its primary color is yellow and the associated conditions are Eating disorders, Heartburn, Indigestion, Low self-esteem, and Ulcers.

4. Heart Chakra or Anahata

The Heart Chakra or Anahata is located at the center of the chest right above the heart sits, which deals with issues of compassion and love. A blockage of the heart chakra tends to manifest through physical conditions associated with your chest. It may also influence people’s behavior — often to their detriment. Breathing exercises are an excellent way to connect with the heart chakra via meditation. Its primary color is green and the associated conditions are Asthma, Heart issues, People putting their needs last, and Weight problems.

5. Throat Chakra or Vishuddha

The Throat Chakra or Vishuddha deals with a person’s verbal communication ability. A person experiencing a blockage of this chakra might have issues with their teeth and gums. The blockage may also contribute to behaviors like talking over people during conversations or having issues voicing opinions. Its primary color is blue and the associated conditions are mouth and throat issues, problems speaking up, and Vocal stress.

6. Third Eye Chakra or Ajna

The Third Eye Chakra or Ajna is located in the middle of the forehead and deals with imagination and intuition. Those with a blockage in this area may experience problems with their eyes or have trouble focusing on tasks. An imbalanced third eye chakra may also contribute to a person having trouble staying connected to reality or being in touch with their intuition. Its primary color is indigo and the associated conditions are Eye problems, Headaches, Hearing issues, or Lack of concentration.

7. Crown Chakra or Sahasrara

The Crown Chakra or Sahasrara is located at the top of the head and deals with our awareness and intelligence. It links to all other chakras, which means it’s capable of affecting all attached organs and systems. Having both the crown and root chakras in balance helps keep the channels of energy flowing correctly through the other chakras. Its primary colors are violet or white and the associated conditions are Depression, Extra sensitivity to sight and sound, Trouble absorbing new information, and Problems adjusting to an environment.

The Physical, Emotional and Mental Benefits of Chakra Balancing

Why is it important to balance our chakras? As they are the energy points connecting our physical and energetic bodies, they take in life force energy and distribute it to our various energetic pathways to maintain optimal health. When our chakras are blocked, our life force energy cannot flow freely and can affect us physically, emotionally, and mentally. Chakra balancing sessions promote the free flow of energy, relaxation, self-care, and release of stuck emotions and blockages as well as the opportunity for behavior modification through self-awareness.

Physical Benefits Of Chakra Balancing

Can a chakra affect your health? Does unblocking a chakra improve physical health? How do chakras affect the body? These are common questions from beginners. According to this study, the energy taken in by the chakra system is distributed through the nervous system and endocrine glands and is then absorbed by the blood and distributed through the body. It goes on to state that at a cellular level, the energy taken in by the chakras is converted to electrical activity and is connected to our normal cellular activity which directly affects our health.

PHYSICAL STAMINA

From gaining strength in the legs to a more complete sense of groundedness, client experiences demonstrate that chakra balancing can benefit the health of the physical body.

INCREASED FLUID MOVEMENT

The chakra balancing experience allows one to relax and rest and take the time it needs to become fully present and heal. When blockages in the sacral chakra are balanced and released, fluids can begin to flow, and when heart chakra blockages are cleared, the blood can begin to move better as well.

RELAXATION

Most repeat clients sleep through their sessions as they’ve learned to surrender and trust the chakra balancing process letting their bodies and energy fields do the work.

DECREASED HEADACHES

As stress levels increase, energy rises in our bodies causing anxiety and headaches. Chakra balancing can synchronize this energy by aligning the upper and lower chakras and dispersing it throughout the body to create balance.

Emotional Benefits Of Chakra Balancing

Chakras are the gateway between our physical and energetic bodies and can hold stuck emotions, traumas, and past experiences which can affect our behavior and shape our personalities.

RELEASE OF STUCK EMOTIONS

Chakra balancing sessions can be a way to effectivity connect with the consciousness of stuck emotions and release them without having to re-experience them on a cognitive level.

DECREASED ANXIETY

As the lower chakras tighten energy flow is impeded so it rises in the body causing anxiety. Strengthening the lower three chakras (root, sacral, and solar plexus) can counteract these feelings.

BOUNDARIES

Boundaries are lines that mark the limits of an area so when I’m talking about energetic boundaries, consider them as the dividing line between where your energy ends and another begins. Chakra balancing targeted to the solar plexus chakra will give you insights into how you manage your personal boundaries, whether they are strong or weak, and what you can do about it.

MANAGING DEPRESSION

Depression is a consistent feeling of sadness and loss of interest in normal activities that can not only affect the way you feel but the way you act as well. Balancing the heart, throat, third eye, and crown chakras (plus clearing out the energy field in these areas) can help those with depression manage the symptoms.

As not all manifestations of depression in the energy field are alike, each client must be assessed, and their chakras balanced and cleared accordingly.

Mental Benefits Of Chakra Balancing

Mental health is a serious concern that affects many people these days. Everything from debt to raising children to unemployment to work environments to caring for aging parents can be thrown into the stress mix.

How does this relate to chakras? Which chakra is related to mental health? Our chakras reflect how we live so, the area of our life that is causing us the most stress and mental health challenge will be reflected in the chakra that is the most unbalanced, damaged, or blocked. So, if you’re feeling stressed, anxious, or overwhelmed, here are a few ways chakra balancing can support you.

CLARITY

The benefits of being able to think clearly and make clear decisions are immense. When we’re overwhelmed, clarity goes out the window! Chakra balancing sessions provide an opportunity to easily clear congestion from the third eye and crown chakras without substantial effort on your part.

SELF-ESTEEM

Chakra balancing is an effective way to improve self-esteem and increase self-confidence which are both qualities related to our sense of who we are that is held in the solar plexus chakra.

ENGAGES RESTING AND RELAXATION

Our chakras hold emotions, traumas, and past experiences so clearing these out on a subconscious level can promote the ability to rest, relax, and move forward in life.

BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION AND SELF-AWARENESS

Insights gained in observing the chakras during a chakra balancing session provide awareness and understanding of behavior patterns and habits which can further lead to the ability to make different decisions.

How Do You Know If Your Chakras Are Blocked?

There are several ways you can know if you have any blocked chakras. The symptoms are both physical and mental.

Some of the physical symptoms include

- headache

- neck pain

- fatigue

- back pain

- digestive issues

- arthritis

- constipation

- colon problems

You can try chakra healing for beginners using some of the methods we’ll discuss later if you’re experiencing any physical pain.

Some of the emotional effects of blocked chakras are:

- feeling disconnected from others or from your body

- feeling stuck in negative thoughts

- low self-esteem

- finding it difficult to manifest your desires

- in extreme cases, it can lead to anxiety and depression as well

The Chakra Healing Methods

Chakra healing can be done through a variety of methods; here are some of the most common ones:

Meditation

Meditation can help to quiet your mind and allow you to focus on the chakras. There are many different types of meditation, so find one that resonates with you. If you’re not sure where to start, try a guided meditation specifically for healing your chakras. There are many free ones available online. You can also take help of meditation tools to help you through the process.

Breathwork

Breathwork is a powerful tool for chakra healing. Simply take deep, cleansing breaths and focus on the chakras as you inhale and exhale. You can also try alternate nostril breathing, which is said to be helpful in balancing the chakras.

Yoga

Yoga is a great way to open up the chakras and release any blockages. Try practicing poses that target each of the seven main chakras. As you move through these poses, be sure to focus on the associated chakra and how it feels in your body. You can also try a simple sun salutation as it focuses on each of the chakras and can help you unblock them.

Reiki

Reiki is a form of energy healing treatment that can help to clear the blockages and balance the chakras. If you don’t know how to heal chakras with reiki, contact a professional as they can guide you through the process. Many reiki professionals also use reiki healing crystals to help restore balance to the chakras.

Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is a great way to balance the chakras. Choose an essential oil that corresponds to the chakra you want to focus on and inhale deeply.  You can add a few drops of oil to your bathtub for a relaxing soak. Many also buy candles or diffusers related to the particular aroma. This cannot only heal the specific chakra but also balance the other chakras in your body.

Sound Healing

Sound healing is yet another method of healing chakras. If you’re not sure how to heal your chakras using sound, visit a local sound healer. They will use sounds of different frequencies. The vibrations of these sounds release the negative energy blocking up the chakras and allowing them to heal.

Chakra Balancing Chants

Each chakra has a specific chant associated with it. You’ve probably heard of ‘Om’ which is associated with the third-eye chakra. These chants are easily available online. Find the one that resonates with the chakra you’re trying to heal and repeat it a few times while focusing on your chakra.

Spend Time in Nature

One of the best ways to heal the root chakra is to connect with nature. Spend time in the sun, go for a walk in the woods, or simply sit outside and take in the fresh air. Allow yourself to feel grounded and connected to the Earth. Spending time in nature heals your root chakra.

Color Therapy

Color therapy is a great way to balance the chakras. Each chakra has a corresponding color, so you can use these colors to help heal any imbalances. You can wear clothes in colors that correspond with the chakras, surround yourself with objects of these colors, or even meditate on them.

Chakra Stones

Certain stones correspond to each of the chakras. You can carry these chakra stones with you, wear them as jewelry, or place them on your body during a healing session. Some common examples include amethyst for the crown chakra, turquoise for the throat chakra or rose quartz for the heart chakra.

Crystals

Just like chakra stones, you can also use crystals for chakra energy healing. There are different crystals available for different needs, such as crystals for anxiety or for manifestations. Simply hold a crystal in your hand or place it on your body and allow the healing energy to flow.

What Science Say about Chakras

What to Expect in a Chakra Balancing Session

When you relax in the stillness of healing, you may feel tingling, pressure, energy adjustment, a mild headache, or feel nothing at all. You may see colors or images as emotions are released. These reactions are all mild and are a normal part of energy release.

Random thoughts and memories may arise as your mind clears them out so the best thing to do is not to get attached to them. Just notice the emotions and thoughts and memories for what they are and let them go so that their energy can be released from your system.

By practicing non-attachment your brain will have far less information to attend to, leading to a reduction of activity in the sympathetic nervous system (think fight-or-flight response) and an increase in parasympathetic nervous system activity which restores the body to a state of calm.

If you can enter a deep state of relaxation, and have a quiet peaceful environment free of distractions - all external sensory senses can be minimized letting you can sink into the full luxury of a session.

BEFORE YOUR FIRST SESSION

Before your first session, all you need to do is sign a consent form and complete a health assessment which I’ll send you to indicate any physical issues as well as any life-threatening events, emotional traumas, or surgeries you’ve had in the past.

At the scheduled time, we connect either by phone or Zoom and have a brief conversation to review your health assessment and discuss your intentions for the session then all you have to do is get comfortable, set your intent to receive, and relax.

AFTER YOUR FIRST SESSION

After the session is finished, we will connect again and go through the results. You’ll want to allow yourself about 15 min. after we’re done to relax and recenter yourself before journeying out again into the world. It’s also a good idea to avoid crowds, confrontations, and loud environments to let your energy continue to adjust.

In the following days, you may feel a bit off-balance or sensitive and want to be alone or sleep more so respecting what your body needs as it adjusts during this time is important.

What Happens During a Chakra Therapy

Wear comfortable clothing for your chakra reading and try to be well rested. Be prepared to discuss your goals or a particular ailment you’d like to work on.

Your practitioner will first ask you about your life and what ails you. Your healer will center themselves, connecting to their inner self and universal life energy. This process is a form of meditation.

Your healer will scan your energy fields with their hands to look for any imbalances or sensations. They’ll then choose healing techniques appropriate for your needs. They’ll reassess your energy fields at the end and then ground you (bring you back to an alert state).

Many healers use aromatherapy in their practice, which is an excellent tool to use in your own life and practice. The chakra practitioner may place stones or colored crystals on your chakra points — each color corresponds to a specific energy point. These colors are part of a New Age interpretation of chakras, intended to help visualize the spiritual journey of healing.

At the end of your session, you’ll discuss the therapy and any sensations or experiences. From there, you’ll develop a plan of self-care. This plan may include setting up another session and techniques and strategies you can use in your real life.

Yoga Postures for Chakra Balancing

Each of the seven Chakras corresponds to different areas and parts of the human body. These Chakras need to be opened up or balanced to make our bodily system function more stably physically as well as emotionally. Yoga, Mudras, and mantras can be practiced to achieve this equilibrium as well as energize and achieve specific bodily responses.

Tadasana (Mountain Pose)

This seemingly simple posture fosters your connection with mother earth while connecting you more deeply with yourself. Plus, this pose helps you to be fully aware of the present moment. Besides, Tadasana has several great benefits for the body and the mind. This posture enhances coordination and posture, improves agility, enhances circulation, and strengthens your legs, back, and hips.

Veerabhadrasana (Warrior pose)

This standing pose is another great asana that helps connect your body with the Earth. The Veerabhadrasana or the Warrior pose helps to shift your vital energy force or prana through your body while rooting you from the foremost Chakra. This pose is beneficial in making your legs strong, opening up the hips, and making your knees and lower back strong. Furthermore, this posture encourages good circulation and improved respiration. Lastly, the Veerabhadrasana enhances focus, balance as well as stability while energizing the entire body.

Setu Bandhasana (Bridge Pose)

The Setu Bandhasana or the Bridge Pose is a highly dynamic and beneficial yoga pose that firmly plants your feet into the Earth allowing your spine to release excess amounts of energy about the root chakra. Also, the Bridge pose works to activate the throat chakra while opening up the solar plexus chakras and the heart. Besides, the yoga pose also helps in balancing the sacral chakra. When it comes to the more physical benefits, the Setu Bandhana helps combat stress and depression. Plus, this asana improves blood circulation while improving digestion. Lastly, besides activating specific Chakras, this pose activates the lungs, abdominal organs, and thyroid glands.

Mudras for Chakra Balancing

Along with the yoga poses, certain mudras also support the release of the vital life force or prana and activate the chakras. These Mudras are mentioned below:

Muladhara

Sit in a comfortable position with your spine erect. Focus all your attention on your perineum. Then, with the help of your thumbs and forefingers work towards forming a circle. Your hands should rest on your knees and your palms should be facing upward. Take deep breaths while inhaling and exhaling. Repeat this for 7 to 10 breaths.

Swadishthana

While sitting comfortably with your spine in an erect position, your attention should be focused on the area located one inch below your navel and the lumbar vertebra-1. Your right hand should rest on your left hand with your palms facing upward, in your lap where your thumbs touch slightly. Take deep breaths while inhaling and exhaling. Repeat this for 7 to 10 breaths.

Manipura

While sitting comfortably with your spine in an erect position, your attention should be focused on the area of your navel towards the solar plexus and across towards the thoracic vertebra number eight. While keeping your fingers straight and touching at the top while pointing in the forward direction, keep your thumbs crossed in a V shape with right over left. Take deep breaths while inhaling and exhaling. Repeat this for 7 to 10 breaths.

Anahata

While sitting comfortably with your spine in an erect position, your attention should be focused on the area of your heart across to thoracic vertebra number one. Your thumb and forefingers need to form a circle. Your left-hand palm should rest on your left knee. Your right hand should be raised towards the center of your chest area with your palms hinging slightly towards your heart. Take deep breaths while inhaling and exhaling. Repeat this for 7 to 10 breaths.

Vishuddhi

While sitting comfortably with your spine in an erect position, your attention should be focused on the area at the bottom of your throat across to cervical vertebra number three. A circle needs to be formed with the help of your thumbs touching while your remaining fingers should be loosely cupped and crossed. Your hands should be raised in front of your solar plexus, and throat, or keep them resting on your lap. Take deep breaths while inhaling and exhaling. Repeat this for 7 to 10 breaths.

Ajna

While sitting comfortably with your spine in an erect position, your attention should be focused on the area of your third eye, starting above the area between your eyebrows across to cervical vertebra number one and surrounding your skull’s outside area. Then, form a heart shape by touching your thumbs at the tips along with your forefingers, pinky finger, and ring finger touching at the second phalanges. You then need to raise your middle fingers to do a crown formation. Your hands should be raised in front of your solar plexus, and third eye or keep them resting on your lap. Take deep breaths while inhaling and exhaling. Repeat this for 7 to 10 breaths.

Sahasrara

While sitting comfortably with your spine in an erect position, your attention should be focused on the area of your crown atop your head and three inches above the skull area. Clasp your hands while keeping your fingers crossed towards the inside and your left thumb beneath the right. Lift your ring fingers to form a crown. Raise your hands over the head area, in front of your solar plexus while resting them on your lap. Take deep breaths while inhaling and exhaling. Repeat this for 7 to 10 breaths.
