To ensure we make the most of your couples counseling session, please review the following requirements:
Before the Session:
1. Pre-Session Questionnaire:
Each partner will be asked to complete a brief questionnaire to identify key areas of concern and goals for the session. This will help us tailor the session to your unique needs.
2. Commitment to Participation:
Both partners must agree to actively participate in the session, including being open and respectful during discussions.
3. Quiet and Private Space:
For virtual sessions, ensure you have a quiet, private, and distraction-free environment where you both feel comfortable.
4. Technology Check (For Virtual Sessions):
• Ensure a stable internet connection.
• Use a device with a working camera and microphone.
• Test your setup to avoid technical issues.
During the Session:
1. Active Listening:
Be prepared to listen to your partner without interruption, and practice empathy during discussions.
2. Confidentiality:
What’s shared in the session remains confidential to create a safe space for open communication.
