Maybe you were expecting it. Maybe it came out of the blue. Maybe it was gentle and slow. Maybe it was sudden and traumatic. Either way, your partner in life now has a disability, and it was never supposed to be this way (or at least - not for a few more decades!) How do we sort through the conflicting, overlapping emotions of this moment? Who can we talk to about the feelings we know sound 'selfish' but are still very real and very present? How do we process all that we've lost while somehow managing to carry on with all that is required of us now? Heather's experience of navigating disability in both directions in the midst of her own 21 years of marriage gives her unique understanding, compassionate curiosity and practical tools to support and guide you through this process.
