All parents want the best for their families. They want to have great relationships with their children; helping the little ones develop the skills that they need to succeed in life. Skills like empathy, self-awareness, confidence, communication, and relationship-building.
This is often easier said than done. It's not all smooth-sailing for parents. A typical family would have lots of issues that they need to deal with their children - conflicts, misunderstanding, lack of communication, etc. Because of the challenges of life and busyness of their schedule, many parents often fail to deal with these issues well. They tend to focus on the symptoms, rather than the root cause.
As a life coach, I help parents look into their issues with fresh eyes. I like to lead them into a time of reflection, where they can just slow down and truly see things for what they are. I help them go deeper into what's happening in their home so they can effectively deal with these things. I also try to help them look at conflicts as "teachable moments" where they can impart precious wisdom to their children.
My goal as a life coach is to always help my clients live with Purpose, Focus, and Joy. This applies to parents that I coach as well.
Please fill out and submit the Coaching Intake form before our session. This will give me adequate time to review your information.
Q: How does parent coaching work?
A: Parent coaching is a powerful process where a coach helps parents fulfill their God-given potential and purpose for their families. A coachee (person being coached) identifies the challenges or issues that he/she needs to overcome, and through the help of a coach, sets workable goals that will allow him/her to experience breakthrough. Coaching is a very powerful process because it empowers parents to think about their situation with intentionality, and identify the things that will help them achieve the goals that they have set out for themselves.
Q: What happens during a coaching session?
A: At the beginning of our program, we will set your coaching goal. Then we will break it into manageable chunks, which will be the basis for our coaching sessions. Every coaching session that you'll have with me will be part of an ongoing conversation that is geared toward helping you achieve your goals. All sessions will be results-oriented, which means that we always start by identifying what you want to take away after our conversation. Our conversations will follow a simple framework that will keep us focused on your desired results. This includes asking you questions that will give you the chance to think through the factors that influence your situation. We always end a coaching session with a solid plan for the week ahead. You commit to work on this plan, and I commit to hold you accountable for the actions that you commit to do.
Q: How long are the coaching sessions?
A: The sessions are 45 minutes in length. Although, there may be instances when we need to extend a few more minutes before we end a session. There is no additional fee for when this happens.
Q: How many sessions do I need?
A: A coaching journey is different for every person. Thus, the number of sessions you need largely depends on what you want to achieve. Most people sign up for coaching programs with specific goals in mind. Oftentimes, these are big goals that need to be broken down into smaller goals. These smaller goals are the focus for the coaching sessions, which when completed will bring them toward their overall desired results. This means that a coaching program will look different for every person, ultimately influencing the number of sessions a persons need to commit to.
Q: What will I have to do to make this work?
A: For coaching to work, you must be committed to make change happen in your life. You must be willing to do everything necessary to complete all the action steps you set for yourself. Most of all, you need to be totally open and honest about your self and your situations, and you must be willing to dig deeper into your life so you can get the answers you need. Your level of commitment to a coaching relationship will directly influence the speed at which you will achieve your desired results. My role as a coach is that of a facilitator. I steer the conversations toward the right direction and ask the right questions. I commit to hold you accountable for your commitments and to encourage you in every step that you take.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: Cancellations are not allowed, but you are welcome to reschedule. If you wish to reschedule, please do so at least 48 hours before the scheduled session.
Q: What happens if I miss a session?
A: "No shows" will be charged the full amount for the session.
